During spring 2023, NanoSIMS at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology will host several speakers in the "MS Imaging Seminar Series".
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Dr. Katie Moore, University of Manchester, United Kingdom, will host a webinar on "Visualising trace element and isotopic distributions in plants using NanoSIMS".
Dr. Katie Moore is an expert in NanoSIMS for investigating trace element uptake in crops, as well as material characterization. Most recently, Katie's work has focused on hydrogen and deuterium detection with the NanoSIMS. This has included an investigation of oxidation and hydrogen pick up mechanisms in zirconium and hydrogen embrittlement of steel and nickel alloys.
The seminar takes place at 15:00 - 16:00 (CET), including discussions. After the seminar, there is an opportunity to participate in an open informal discussion at 16:00 - 16:30 (CET).
