Almedal Week has been held annually in Visby at the end of June since the late 1960s and is one of the world's largest meeting places for discussions about democracy and social issues.

About the university's participation

The University of Gothenburg participates annually by presenting research that contributes to solving national and international problems, as well as raising issues that affect public opinion.
