In the contemporary feminist debate, the Soft Girl trend has been widely discussed. The trend emphasizes prioritizing well-being and life balance over paid work and is used to describe how women choose to refrain from participating in the rat race, with its demands for performance, high grades, and overtime. But how does this trend affect women's status in society?

Soft Girl, along with Feminism 4.0 / Digital Feminism and Intersectional Feminism, is one of several contemporary women's movements that are currently being discussed and debated in various forums.

During the discussion, several of these trends will be explored, including how they manifest and impact women's position in society.

Moderator
Agnes Faxén, Communicator and Science Journalist, University of Gothenburg.

Participants
Valeria Villegas Lindvall, researcher in film and feminism.
Veronica Flyman, doctoral Student, Department of Sociology and Work Science, University of Gothenburg.
Anna Björklund, Author and podcaster.

The seminar will be held in Swedish.
