UGOT Ocean is among the five profile areas the University of Gothenburg has choosen to be included in the further process. During the writing process three areas of strength within ocean research was identified:
- Global Ocean Change and Resilience
- Transformative Ocean Governance and Management
- Innovative and Sustainable Ocean Use.
The preliminary time plan for submitting the full profile area application to the Swedish Research Council is April 2023.
The Sea and Society Day will focus on the processes forward for the profile area application.
