The chapter that Laura will be presenting at the seminar is a part of a book project initiated by members of the Gender and Diversity Division at the Academy of Management.

The book, which is edited by Ny, Stamper, Klarsfeld and Han is being published in July this year by Edward Elgar with the title, Handbook On Diversity And Inclusion Indices: A Research Compendium. The goal of the book is to give the reader an overview of existing, and often popular, measures of diversity and inclusion, and to examine the strengths and weaknesses of these measures. In the chapter, Laura and her colleagues describe the Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX), how it was developed, who was involved, and its strength, weaknesses. The index aims to “evaluate and compare what governments are doing to promote the integration of migrants” (MIPEX, 2019a). At the seminar Laura will in particular focus on this specific index and discuss the potential advantages and disadvantages of using such indices, for researchers and policy makers.

Laura and her colleagues describe the Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX), how it was developed, who was involved, and its strength, weaknesses.

Once you register for the seminar, the administrator will send to you the book chapter that will be a ground for this presentation.
