Global crises have become regular fare in contemporary society as demonstrated by 'hot topics' like pandemics, climate change, cybersecurity, human rights, migration, poverty, war and more.

The conference examines how mindsets of urgency and responsibility (and their absence) work in global politics and how they manifest in global collective action.

During the two-day event, a set of interdisciplinary panels will explore these questions and assess lessons learned from historical and comparative perspectives.

The conference is jointly organized by the Centre for Global Cooperation Research (University of Duisburg-Essen) and the School of Global Studies (University of Gothenburg).
