FAQ Fall term 2021 Department of Earth Sciences

Here we have collected common questions that pop up before the start of term.

Our programs and many courses are open for late application July 16. Do apply, as early as possible, as this is a first come (and eligible), first serve process for late applications. In order to apply during the late application process, you need to have all of your qualifications in order.

If you applied during the March-April admissions;
Admission notice 1 comes out 16 July and must be answered no later than 23 July.

Admission notice 2 comes out 30 July.

If you applied via the international admission, which closed in January, you can disregard this.

We will send out an email July 16 to all who have been admitted in the first  admission round. This is for you who have applied during March-April.

On July 30, everyone admitted will receive an email with information about course start and practical information.

All questions about CSN and financing should be answered by CSN.

E-mail studentadmin@gvc.gu.se with your name, personal number and name and date of the reexam you would like to retake to complete your course(s).

You need to contact studentadmin@gvc.gu.se in the week before the course starts.

At the Student portal you can read about how and when you can activate your account, register yourself for a course, get a GU card, find course literature, pedagogical support and much more.
