Hygiene routines within the EBM facility
Please practice physical distancing (minimum 1.5 metres)
In situations where physical distancing cannot be maintained, we recommend the use of face masks.
It is mandatory to use face masks in animal holding rooms within the rodent unit. See specific routine for the use of face masks in animal holding rooms, posted on our information boards in each unit.
EBM provides face masks for use in animal holding rooms but for all other use, the provision of face masks is the responsibility of the user.
Access to the lunch room at EBM: We wish to remind you that access to the lunch room in our open rodent zone (öppen gnag, plan 2) is limited to EBM staff. Please respect this restriction to help us avoid crowding.
The EBM gym: The gym is closed until August 31st when a new decision will be taken.
The EBM gym: The gym is closed until May 15th when a new decision will be taken.
EBM operations runs normally and at full capacity. As a consequence of the new directives issued by the Swedish Health authorities and government, more staff have to stay at home but business runs as usual.
Contingency: EBM is well prepared to manage a longer period of COVID-19 restrictions, with backups to all critical capabilities and functions.
LAS education and introduction course: Our LAS education and introduction course will carry on. Any changes will be announced here.
Access to the facility: Access to EBM is limited to EBM staff and scientists who are confirmed members of EBM research groups. This means that we will not accept external visitors, study visits, external seminars etc.. Contractors performing business critical service/repairs within the facilities will be granted access but work under supervision by EBM staff.
The lunch room: Access to the lunch room in our open rodent zone (öppen gnag, plan 2) is limited to EBM staff.
Hygiene routines: Upgraded hygiene routines, with mandatory use of hand sanitizer (handsprit) upon entrance to EBM. Please note that a careful washing of hands plus use of hand sanitizer is a mandatory part of our established hygiene routines.
