Core Facilities Staff Soft Skills Training

Core Facilities Staff Soft Skills Training (CFS3T) is a two-day interactive workshop focused on highly valued soft skills when working in a core facility (CF).

Update

Postponed until spring 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic

soft skills
noun [plural]

1. personal attributes that enable someone to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people

                                                    - Oxford Dictionary

The event will take place on May 20-21st 2021 at the Sahlgrenska Academy and is arranged by Bioinformatics Core Facility at Sahlgrenska Academy.

This event welcomes both scientific and technical core facilities staff that will come away with an understanding of the key elements of communication, whether when giving a presentation, networking, working with others, or talking with managers. These skills are particularly useful considering the varied background of CF users and their work, where being able to communicate effectively and correctly is crucial in order to provide the right kind of results.

Registration will open early 2021.

The workshop will focus on the following:

  • Presentation, networking and promoting
  • Team work, constructive criticism and conflict management
  • Assertiveness and negotiation
