I am a postdoctoral researcher working on Plastic and pesticides in agricultural soils – A hazardous combination for groundwater systems and drinking water supplies worldwide?

The main aims of this project is to (i) determine the migration of micro- and nano-sized plastic particles through agricultural soils under in-situ conditions by using a novel plastic particle tracer method, (ii) identify plastic-pesticide interactions in agricultural soils, and (iii) demonstrate the effect of plastic-pesticide interactions on pesticide transport into underlying groundwater systems.

The findings of this project helps us to determine whether plastics and pesticides are indeed a hazardous combination for groundwater systems and drinking water supplies worldwide (?)
