My research interest is in the areas of forensic psychology and developmental psychology. My primary focus has been on research investigating online sexual abuse viewed from both a victim and a perpetrator perspective.
I am a member of the research groups Criminal, Legal and Investigative Psychology (CLIP) and the Gothenburg group for Research In Developmental Psychology (GRID).
Current research
I work within the project Online Child Sexual Abuse - Causes and Consequences (financed by the Swedish Crime Victim Compensation and Support Authority). Collaborators: Carolina Lunde (GU), Linda Jonsson (Ersta Sköndal Bräcke University) and Sara Landström (GU).
In this project, we investigate online sexual abuse in which children have been incited to engage in online sexual activity. More specifically, we investigate what kind of sexual activities the children have been incited to perform online, how the children experienced the situation, how the abuse affected their psychological health, and what strategies the perpetrators used to incite the children to carry out sexual acts via the Internet.
