About Lisa Asp Onsjö

Research interests My research interest deals with how schools can be adapted to students who for one reason or another are regarded as needing special support. I am especially interested in whether, and if so, how different types of documentation such as action programmes and individual development plans are used and if they then contribute to enhanced inclusion. In my research I elucidate the complex interplay between schools, on the one hand, and parents and students, on the other hand. In what way can parents and students gain influence over the student’s learning? In what regard is their influence noticed? Does documentation help develop the educational environment or is it gathered without being used in practical work? The research also illuminates what consequences documentation has for the students in question. Teaching interests I teach and supervise in the teacher education programme, the special education programme, and single-subject courses in special education. I also have some external commissions. The use of various types of documentation in school practice is also one of my areas of interest. Keywords special education, inclusion, documentation, action programmes, individual development plans, educational differentiation
