About Linda Soneryd

LINDA SONERYD PhD (Örebro, 2002), associate professor docent (Stockholm, 2008) and professor (Gothenburg 2017) of sociology. From 2003 to 2011 she held a research position at Score (Stockholm Centre for Organizational Research) and a few years she also worked as research director and deputy director. In the Spring-Summer 2011 she was a visiting fellow of Technische Universität Berlin and was also involved in teaching this time at Universität Bielefeld. Soneryd has since 2013 teached regularly at the science and technology studies master, University of Vienna. 2016 she was guest researcher at Humboldt University, Berlin. From September 2011 Soneryd works as a lecturer at the Department of Sociology, University of Gothenburg.

From the autumn 2020 and during 2021 Soneryd is a guest researcher at Score (Stockholm Centre for Organizational Research).

Teaching and tutoring Teaches and tutors in qualitative method, sociology of the environment, and sociology.

Specialist fields Public participation, sociology of the environment, urban planning, science and technology studies, risk sociology, governance and democracy.

Current research:

What can science deliver and what does policy want? Expectations on science in support of climate change action. 2020-2022. Project director: Göran Sundqvist. Funder: The Swedish Research Council.

Renovation and participation: towards an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable Million Program? 2019-2022. Project director: Håkan Thörn. Funder: The Swedish Research Council Formas.
