About Josefine Persson

Josefine Persson is an associate senior lecturer in health economics at the Health Metrics at the Sahlgrenska Academy. Her research is focused on consequences for spouses of stroke survivors from a health economic perspective. Past research has focused on estimating the spouses’ HRQoL and QALY-weights as well as time and cost of the informal support provided by the spouses. Future research will focus on the long-term consequences on the spouses’ health care utilisation and working life. Josefine have several collaborations with medical clinicians concerning health economic evaluations of medical treatment strategies. She is also the health economist at the HTA-centre at the Sahlgrenska university hospital and at the Program och prioriteringsrådet at Region Västra Götaland.

Thesis In April 2017, Josefine defended the thesis entitled “Spouses’ long-term support to midlife stroke survivors – Consequences from a health economic perspective”.
