Jan Gustafsson is an Associate Professor and research fellow in the research group Childhood, Youth, Culture and Learning (CYCL) and the research group Early Childhood Education at the Department of Education, Communication and Learning, University of Gothenburg. His main research interest is in ethnographic and policy studies in preschools, school-age childcare, schools and higher education. He has specialized in using ethnography and critical discourse analysis in his research. Currently, he has worked in the project “Gender and Career in Academia” as well as in the project “School Achievement and Gender”. Previously, he has also participated in the research project “School, Community and Culture” as well as in the project “Hybrid Classrooms”.
