About Jakob Welander

I am a doctoral student of the research field experimental atomic physics, performing spectroscopy on atomic negative ions. My field of research aims to create, through basic research, a better understanding of quantum physics that describes how our world functions in its smallest constituents.

In part, I am also a teacher at the Department of Physics with extra passion for meeting students, large and small, who have recently found the fascination of physics and science. I found it even more exciting when I get to help students discover that fascination.

I'm found at my office F8034 in the building "Forskarhuset", at campus Chalmers, Johanneberg.
