About Eva Nyberg

Research interests I am Ass. professor in science education and my research focuses on teaching and learning science, especially biology/ecology, both in primary, secondary school and in higher education. I am also interested in research concerning Education for Sustainability throughout the educational system. Through my thesis work I developed an interest towards formative assessment, especially in the context of teachers’ professional development. In my future research I would like to further explore the use of formative assessment as a tool to develop teaching of science, as well as teaching for sustainability. My thesis work indicated that observations and caring of living organisms is important when learning about biological life cycles and in learning for sustainability. I wish to further explore this.
