About Apoorva Rathod
My PhD research project studies children's home-based behavior. Concerns about children's inactive and passive lives at home have been growing and medical studies investigate the health effects of this behavior. Through my research I hope to show other aspects and dimensions of children's home-based lives - the lived reality of their lives at home, relationship with the home environment, and above all, the way their behaviors are embedded in everyday familial practices - in order to move away from looking at these behaviors in isolation and understand how they are part of children's everyday lives.
