A EURAXESS Centre provides information, advice and support both to the researchers and to the departments and units within their universities. Today, there are around 600 centres in more than 40 countries. All services are free of charge.

The EURAXESS Centre at the University of Gothenburg is located at Welcome Services. They offer information and practical assistance on mobility-related issues, as well as events, lectures, seminars, workshops and other activities for international researchers.

EURAXESS network project

Welcome Services coordinates the EURAXESS Network Project 2018-2022. The project is funded by Vinnova.

The purpose of the EURAXESS Network Project is to make relevant and present issues within the European EURAXESS network visible in Sweden, and to broaden, expand and develop the Swedish network.

The activities in the project are expected to increase the visibility of Sweden as a research nation and improve the support for researcher mobility.

Welcome Services will be in charge of the Swedish EURAXESS portal, a central source of information about Sweden as a research nation. Active universities and other actors will be presented on the portal as well as available services, research positions and funding opportunities.

The Bridgehead Organization (BHO) in Sweden lies with Vinnova, but Welcome Services is acting BHO and represent Sweden at European level in order to cover the interest in current issues.

Welcome Services coordinated the previous EURAXESS Activity Project, also supported by Vinnova, for the period 2015-2017.

Grants and Innovation Office

The Grants and Innovation Office assists you as a researcher, teacher, department administrator or director with issues related to research, business, innovation and utilisation of research.
