Donation scholarships

WHO?
Donationsstipendier can be applied for by two categories of students:

1. Students, who, at the end of the application period, have completed at least two semesters at a university or college in Sweden and 60 credits (registeres in Ladok) at a department belonging to the Faculties of Philosophy at the University of Gothenburg.
2. Students who, at the end of the application period are registered as doctoral candidates at the University of Gothenburg in a subject taught at the Faculty of Philosophy.

WHEN?
The final application date is 30 June each year.

To find out how much money you have been awarded and from which foundation, you must log on to the application system with your userID and password.

The electronic application system
 

For students at basic/advanced level the following applies: for your scholarship to be dispensed you must complete and submit a requisition. You must also submit a registration certificate issued by the department where you were enrolled for studies.

WHO?
Travel grants can be applied for by those who at the time of applying are enrolled as research students at University of Gothenburg in subjects taught at the Philosophical Faculty.

WHEN?
Final application date is the first weekday in February each year.

Adlerbert Foreign Student Hospitality Foundation

WHO?
Entitled to apply are the foreign visiting students within undergraduate programmes or postgraduate studies at University of Gothenburg who intend to return to their native countries after completed studies. The extent of the studies at University of Gothenburg should be at least three months. Foreign students who recieve Swedish study loan and/or have a permanent residence permit in Sweden are not entitled to apply.

WHEN?
Students at "the Philosophical Faculty" can apply in February each year.

HOW?
Visiting students enrolled at institutions belonging to the Philosophical Faculty apply for assistance funding at the Göta student union, Götabergsgatan 17.

Students in study programmes at the Sahlgrenska Academy, students in the teacher training programmes and students at the Department of Social Work, the School of Public Administration, the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication, the School of Design and Crafts (HDK), the Academy of Music and Drama and the Valand Academy, apply for assistance funding at the respective college / department.

Visiting lecturer

WHO?
Visiting lecturer: external scholars. Departments within a faculty board area apply according to the following order of priority:

academic year 13/14 - The Faculty of Science

WHEN?
Final application date is in March each year

HOW?
There is not a particular application form. Applications are made by the department guided by the following template:

• Institution, department
• Concise account of the purpose of the lecture and justification for it
• The lecturer’s name, title and place of residence
• Date of the lecture
• Total budget for the lecture
• Amount applied for(a fixed amount must always be indicated)
• Other contributor(details of funds are applied for elsewhere)

Visiting professorships

WHO?
Swedish or foreign scholars at professorship level in a subject belonging to the humanities, social sciences or mathematics-natural sciences faculties.

WHEN?
Invitations will take place when the fund amounts to at least the same amount as the annual salary of a professor at the university.

HOW?
When an invitation comes up, the faculty board concerned submits a proposal according to the following order of priority:
