Title of dissertation: Hemiplegic cerebral palsy – Aetiology and outcome
Paul Uvebrant was born in Nyköping in 1951. A degree of Master of Science in Medicine was conferred on him at the Karolinska Institute in 1976, and later he became a specialist in Pediatrics in Karlstad. He got his doctorate in 1988, became a docent in 1989 and an Adjunct Professor of Neuropediatrics in 2000. Since 1998 he is Chief of Neurology, Psychiatry and Rehabilitation at The Queen Silvia Children's Hospital at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. On 1 August 2007 he was appointed Professor of Neuropediatrics at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. The position is linked to the position of Chief Physician.
