Thesis title: Intestinal macromolecular transmission and some immunological implications
Esbjörn Telemo was born in Halmstad and studied chemistry and biology at Lund University. He was awarded his PhD in 1986 and between 1986 and 1990 held a postdoctoral post and postdoctoral research fellowship at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. He then moved back to Sweden to continue his teaching and research career at the Department of Clinical Immunology, later the Department of Rheumatology and Inflammation Research, at the University of Gothenburg. Since 1 April 2008 he has held tenure as professor of clinical immunology in the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.

Born: 1955
Thesis: On the recognition of glycosphingolipids by carbohydrate-binding proteins
Susann Teneberg was born in Stockholm and graduated in medicine from the University of Gothenburg. She was awarded her PhD in 1996 by the University of Gothenburg and became reader in medical and physiological chemistry in 2002. Since 1 March 2008 she has held tenure as professor of medical chemistry and cell biology, in particular glycobiology, in the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.

Michael Thorndyke was born in London in 1946. He got his doctorate in 1971 in Zoology and Cell Biology at the University of London. He has worked at Royal Holloway at the University of London before being appointed Professor of Experimental Marine Biology at Kristineberg Marine Research Station at The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. His research primarily concerns cell and molecular biology with emphasis on the development from egg to fully developed animal. On 1 March 2007 he was appointed Professor of Experimental Marine Biology at the Faculty of Science at the University of Gothenburg.

Thorson Staffan - Faculty of Arts - STAFFAN THORSON Born: 1942 Dissertation title: Barnbokens invandrare. En motivstudie i svensk barn- och ungdomslitteratur 1945–1980. Staffan Thorson was born in Karlstad, has a Master of Arts and has worked has worked as an upper-secondary school teacher in Swedish language and literature. He obtained his Doctorate in Literature from the University of Gothenburg in 1985. He became a senior lecturer in literature specialising in didactics at the University of Gothenburg in 2006 and Professor in Swedish specialising in didactics at Malmö University in the same year. In January 2009, he was appointed Professor of Subject Didactics specialising in Swedish at the Department of Literature, History of Ideas and Religion.

Thesis: Rörelser i det moderna: Politik, modernitet och kollektiv identitet i Europa 1789–1989/Modernitet, sociala rörelser och sociologi [Movements in modernism: Politics, modernity and collective identity in Europe 1789-1989/Modernity, social movements and sociology] Håkan Thörn was born in Gothenburg and received his bachelor’s degree in the history of ideas and learning from the University of Gothenburg in 1988, where in 1997 he was also awarded a PhD in sociology. Since then he has undertaken research into social movements and the globalisation of politics and has published a number of books on this theme. In 2003 he was a guest researcher at St. Antony´s College in Oxford. He is a member of the editorial committee of Ord & Bild. Since 1 February 2008 he has held an appointment as professor of sociology n the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gothenburg.

Enrico Tiozzo was born in Rome and obtained his doctorate from the “La Sapienza” university in Rome in 1970. That year he was employed as a senior lecturer in Italian at the University of Gothenburg. He was appointed as a lecturer in Romance languages in 2003. Since 27 April 2009, he has been Professor of Italian at the Department of Languages and Literatures.

PETER TISELIUS - born in Uppsala 1958 - defended his thesis "Foraging behaviour and grazing patterns of calanoid copepods" at the University of Gothenburg in 1990. After two years as postdoc at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, USA,
he worked as research fellow during six years at the University of Gothenburg. In 1995 he was appointed docent at the department of Marine Ecology, and head of the department from 2000 to 2003.
Professor from September 2004 in Marine ecology with focus on marine zooplankton ecology.

Thesis: Neuropeptides and atropine-resistant parasympathetic responses in salivary glands
Gunnar Tobin was born in Lysekil and was received a qualification in dentistry from Lund University in 1985. He was awarded his PhD in 1991 by Lund University and was appointed reader in pharmacology in 1994. From 2002 to 2003 he was visiting fellow at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. Since 1 September 2008 he has held tenure as professor of pharmacology in the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.

Tsao Ming - The Faculty of Fine Applied And Performing Arts - MING TSAO Born: 1966 Dissertation title: Fragments of a Compositional Methodology Ming Tsao was born in Berkeley, California. He has a Masters in ethnomusicology from Columbia University and a Masters in mathematics from San Francisco State University, where he also wrote the book Abstract Musical Intervals. In 2007, he obtained his Doctorate in Composition from the University of California, San Diego. He has had several important commissions from well-known music ensembles and has contributed to festivals for new music, such as März Musik, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Wien Modern and Donaueschingen. He opera Die Geisterinsel for the Staatsoper Stuttgart will be premiered in 2011. His works are currently in preparation for publication by Edition Peters. He has been Professor of Composition at the Academy of Music and Drama since 11 May 2009.
Tulinius Mar - Sahlgrenska Academy at University of Gothenburg, Institute of Clinical Sciences, Dept of Pediatrics - MÁR TULINIUS Title of thesis: Mitochondrial encephalomyopathies in childhood
Már Tulinius was born in Reykjavík in 1953 and qualified as a doctor at the University of Iceland in 1980, obtaining a specialist qualification in paediatrics in 1987. In 1991 he was awarded a PhD by the University of Gothenburg, where he became reader in paediatrics in 1996. He was appointed professor of paediatrics at Uppsala University in 2008. In January 2009 he was appointed Professor of Paediatrics at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, in the Department of Paediatrics. His post combines academic work with the clinical role of consultant paediatrician at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
