Ohlsson Claes - The Sahlgrenska Academy, Institute of Medicine, Dept of Internal Medicine. Claes Ohlsson, born 1965 in Gothenburg, completed his medical degree in 1990 and received a doctorate in Physiology in 1993 at the University of Gothenburg. The title of the thesis was “Endocrine Regulation of proliferation and differentiation of rat growth plate chondrocytes”. He was appointed associate professor in physiology 1996 and was a research fellow at NIH, Bethesda, US in 1996-1997. He has a board certificate in Clinical Pharmacology. He was appointed professor at the Department of Molecular Endocrinology at the Karolinska Institute in 2000 and professor in “Endocrine regulation of bone metabolism” at the University of Gothenburg in 2000. His research activities are mainly in the field of osteoporosis with a special focus on hormonal regulation of bone growth and metabolism. 

Ohlsson Östen - School of Business, Economics and Law
Born: 1947
Thesis: Samverkan och handling – studier av interorganisatoriska projekt
Östen Ohlsson was born in Agunnaryd and has studied at both Lund and Gothenburg. He graduated in economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg in 1979, received his PhD in 1990 and was made reader in business administration in 2001. He teaches organisational theory and his research concerns ways in which reforms, management trends and new technologies are absorbed by companies and the community at large. Since 1 July 2008 he has been a professor of business administration in the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Olson Olov - The School of Business, Economics, and Law, Dept of Business Administration
Olsson Bengt - Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, Academy of Music and Drama BENGT OLSSON was born 1946 in Helsingborg. Bengt Olsson holds an MA in music and history and a Ph. D. in musicology. 1993 he defended his thesis “Sämus – music education in the service of cultural policy? A study of a teacher training programme during the 1970s”. Since 1998 he is Chair of Research on Music Education at the Academy of Music and Drama, Göteborg University and presently Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Education. His articles about aesthetic disourses of music, the social psychology and the sociology of music education appear in international journals and books. Bengt Olsson is member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Community Music, the International Advisory Board of British Journal of Music Education and the External Advisory Board of London Review of Education.

Olsson Lars E - The Sahlgrenska Academy LARS E OLSSON – born in Limhamn in 1960 – earned his degree as a medical physicist at Lund University. He defended his thesis in medical radiation physics in 1993 at Lund University, Radiation dosimetry using magnetic resonance imaging. After clinical service and further research he became associate professor in 2000 at the medical faculty of Lund University. During 2000–2001 he was visiting scientist at the University of Texas, Houston, USA. Since 2004 he has been engaged as a researcher at AstraZeneca’s R&D Imaging Centre in Mölndal. Appointed from 1 December 2006 as adjunct professor in radiation physics.

Olsson Roger - Faculty of Science
Born: 1967
Thesis: Lewis acid promoted endocyclic cleavage of glycosides and related acetals
Roger Olsson was born in Ystad and graduated in 1993 from the technical faculty of Lund University as a master of engineering. He received his PhD in 1998 and was appointed to a readership in organic chemistry at Lund University in 2004. Since 1999 he has been employed by ACADIA Pharmaceuticals where he is head of the section for medicinal chemistry and undertakes research in diseases of the central nervous system. Since 8 April 2008 he has been adjunct professor of medical chemistry in the Faculty of Science at the University of Gothenburg.

Oxelman Bengt – Faculty of Science, Dept of Plant and Environmental Sciences BENGT OXELMAN – born in Sya in Östergötland in 1958 – earned his biology degree at the University of Gothenburg. He defended his thesis in 1995 at the University of Gothenburg, Systematic Studies in the Genus Silene L. (Caryophyllaceae) – Morphological and Molecular Approaches. From 1996–1998 he was a postdoctoral research assistant and visiting researcher at Uppsala and Stockholm Universities as well as a visiting researcher at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. In September 1998 he was appointed assistant professor at Uppsala University, where in 2000 he became senior lecturer in systematic botany and professor in 2006. Appointed from 1 January 2007 as professor in systematic botany.
