Fahlke Claudia - Faculty of Social Science, Dept of Psychology CLAUDIA FAHLKE – born in Floby in 1964 – earned her Psychology degree at the University of Gothenburg. She defended her thesis in 1994 at Göteborg University in Alcohol Consumption in the Rat: Modulation by Adrenal Steroids and Mesotelencephalic Dopamine. She became senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Gothenburg in 1998 and has been visiting researcher at the National Public Health Institute, Helsinki, Finland and at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Bethesda, USA. Appointed from 1 April 2006 as professor in psychology.

Thesis: Power, Theory and Value
Gunnar Falkemark was born in Gothenburg. After studying at the University of Gothenburg and Lund University he was awarded a PhD in political science in 1982. During the academic year of 1982-83 he was a guest researcher at Harvard University in the USA. Between 1986 and 1989 he held a postdoctoral research fellowship and was appointed in 1989 to a senior lectureship in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gothenburg.

Farran-Lee Martin - The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, School of Design and Crafts MARTIN FARRAN-LEE – born in Stockholm in 1961 – has worked as an art director and graphic designer since completing his studies at RMI-Berghs in Stockholm. He lived in London from 1990–2000 where he worked as art director for the magazines Blueprint and Arena, as well as running his own design office with a special emphasis on editorial editorial design within the the field of design, art and fashion. He now lives in Copenhagen where he runs the company Specific Design. He has been a visiting tutor in graphic design at the Royal College of Art in London and a visiting lecturer at the University College of Arts and Design and RMI-Berghs in Stockholm. Appointed from 1 November 2006 as adjunct professor in design with the emphasis on visual communication.

Fehrman-Ekholm Ingela - The Sahlgrenska Academy - INGELA FEHRMAN-EKHOLM Title of thesis: Pretransplant blood transfusions and kidney allograft survival
Ingela Fehrman-Ekholm was born in Lund in 1947. She qualified as a doctor at Lund University and qualified as a specialist in nephrology and internal medicine in Stockholm. She defended her doctoral thesis in 1981 at Karolinska Institutet, becoming reader in 1986, and visiting research fellow in Dallas, USA in 1988. She started her research on live donors in the nineties, and she currently heads an EU collaboration in this field. She was appointed Adjunct Professor of Transplantation Nephrology in live organ donation at the Sahlgrenska Academy in February 2009. Her post combines academic work with the clinical role of consultant physician at the Transplantation Centre, Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

Forshufvud Gunnar - Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, Academy of Music and Drama GUNNAR FORSHUFVUD – born in Gothenburg in 1945 – earned an MA in Swedish and German from the University of Gothenburg in 1968. Many years studying piano under Dagny Norling among others.
Qualified as a singing teacher at the School of Music in Gothenburg in 1974. Further training under Bernac, Coblenzer, Cuenod, Haefliger, Harnoncourt, Schiøtz and Werba among others. Thirty year career as a concert singer with J. S. Bach’s evangelist parts as his speciality. Teacher in solo singing at the School of Music from 1975. Visiting teacher Vienna and Åbo among other places. Defended his thesis in Musicology in 1995, Con lieve fiato. Teacher's manual for Nicola Vaccaj’s Metodo pratico. Research on Nina d´Aubigny von Engelbrunner, Corri, Garcia d.y., Panofka and others. Appointed from 1 December 2006 as professor in singing.

Franzen Lars – Faculty of Science, Dept of Earth Sciences LARS FRANZÉN, born in Ulricehamn in 1950, studied oceanography, geology, biology and physical geography at the University of Gothenburg. He completed his B.A. in 1975 and his Ph.D. in 1985 with a thesis on Peat in Sweden: a Method to Calculate the Resources. Many years’ work on peat bogs as a natural resource led in 1994 to a new theory about the role of peat bogs for global climate change, especially in relation to the initiation of ice ages. He is working on the hypothesis that cosmic dust (via interaction with the sea) determines global climate development, including rapid change and current global warming. Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Gothenburg from 1 April 2005.

Friman Styrbjörn - The Sahlgrenska Academy STYRBJÖRN FRIMAN Title of thesis: Bile secretion – with special reference to the use of markers of canalicular bile flow and the effects of cholecystectomy and liver transplantation Styrbjörn Friman was born in Karlstad in 1948 and qualified as a doctor at Umeå University in 1974. He became board certified in general surgery in Halmstad in 1980, and defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Gothenburg in 1990. He has since worked as a consultant transplant surgeon at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. He was appointed reader in surgery in 1994 and Adjunct Professor of Transplant Surgery at the Sahlgrenska Academy in February 2009. His post combines academic work with the clinical role of consultant surgeon at the Transplant Institute, Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Frisén Ann – The Faculty of Social Sciences - Ann Frisén – The Faculty of Social Sciences ANN FRISÉN Born: 1963 Thesis: /Psychological development in children of short stature/ Ann Frisén, née Erling, was born in Gothenburg. She is a licensed psychologist and graduated in psychology at the University of Gothenburg. She obtained her PhD in 1999 and became a docent in psychology in 2004. She is the Swedish representative in the EU network /Cyberbullying – coping with negative and enhancing positive uses of new technologies. Since 7 December 2009 she has been Professor of Psychology at the Department of Psychology.
