Dahlbom Bo - IT-University, Dept of Applied Information Technology BO DAHLBOM is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. He debates, writes about, and gives talks on information technology and the future. He is a member of Swedish government IT council, a member of the Norwegian Research Council's program for information technology research, and a member of the board of the Viktoria Institute. Bo Dahlbom became a docent in theoretical philosophy in 1983 and a professor of informatics in 1994. His research specialties include technology and social change, research methodology, user oriented systems development, mobility and mobile services, global IT infrastructures, strategic use of information technology, the new informatics research approach, and future studies.

She defended her thesis in 1996, Literacy Abilities in Nonvocal Children with Cerebral Palsy. Lecturer and researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg and senior lecturer 2000. From 2005 head of the research platform "Prolonged mental illness and multiple-disabilities", The Vårdal Institute. Director of the area group, Health, Disability, Ageing, at the Department of Psychology.

Title of dissertation: Development and evaluation of a health education programme for elderly persons with age-related degeneration. A degree of Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy was conferred on her in 1973. She got her doctorate in 2000 at the Section of Geriatrics at the University of Gothenburg and was appointed Clinical Lecturer in the same year. Between 2003 - 2007 she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Swedish Research Council. She became a Docent in Occupational Therapy in 2004, and since 2006 she has been Head of Research for the Research Platform for the Elderly, their Health Care, Nursing Care and Social Service at The Vårdal Institute. On 1 July 2007 she was appointed Professor of Occupational Therapy at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.

Thesis: Glycoconjugates in human meningiomas –- the search for tissue and circulating tumor markers using ligand binding techniques
Pia Davidsson was born in Gothenburg and graduated in biochemistry from the University of Gothenburg in 1984. She was awarded her PhD in 1989 at the institute for clinical neurosciences, was appointed reader in 1998 and held a postdoctoral research fellowship for the study of brain specific proteins intended to further knowledge about synaptic/regenerative mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases. Since 2003 she has been employed by AstraZeneca to work on the development of biological remedies for cardiovascular diseases. Since 28 April 2008 she has held the post of adjunct professor in protein chemistry with a cardiovascular specialisation in the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.

Öjvind Davidsson was born in Växjö and took his undergraduate degree in organic chemistry at the University of Gothenburg in 1984, where he also got his doctorate in chemistry in 1990. After having held a postdoctoral research fellowship he was appointed Docent in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Gothenburg in 1995, and became a senior lecturer in 1997. His research focuses on asymmetric synthesis utilizing metallic catalysts. Since 2001 he has been employed by AstraZeneca. The 28th of April 2008 he was appointed adjunct professor in organic chemistry at the Faculty of Science at the University of Gothenburg.

Graduated from Medical School in Gothenburg in 1982, licensed physician in 1985 and specialist in internal medicine and cardiology since 1991. Defended his thesis on continuous electrocardiographic monitoring with vectorcardiographic technique in 1991. Associate professor in 1994, professor of cardiology in 2002. Presently at Sahlgrenska University Hospital/Östra, working at the Adult Congenital Heart Unit which he co-founded in 1996. Focus of research is acute and chronic coronary artery disease and adult congenital heart disease.
Dellgran Peter - Faculty of Social Science, Dept of Social Work and Center for Public Sector Research PETER DELLGRAN – born in Nödinge in 1954 – earned his BA in 1977 at the University of Gothenburg. He defended his thesis in 2000 at Göteborg University, Kunskapsbildning, akademisering och professionalisering i socialt arbete (Knowledge formation, academicisation and professionalisation in social work) and became senior lecturer in social work in 2002. Besides the relationships between research and professional practice, his research has concerned social policy, maintenance problems and poverty issues. He is currently also visiting professor at Malmö University where he is leading a multi-disciplinary research programme on the training, practice and research links of various professions. Appointed from 1 October 2006 as professor in social work.

Dickson Suzanne Lee - The Sahlgrenska Academy, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, Dept of Physiology SUZANNE LEE DICKSON – born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1966 – earned her BSc (Hons) in 1988 at the University of Edinburgh. She defended her thesis in 1993 at the University of Cambridge, UK. After a brief period as Lecturer in Dept Anatomy, King’s College London, she became lecturer (then Senior Lecturer) at the University of Cambridge in 1994. She was appointed to Professor of Physiology/Neuroendocrinology at the University of Gothenburg is 2004. Her research focuses on CNS control of appetite and body weight by circulating hormones. In 2006 she received the Fernström Prize of Young Investigators for her research exploring the central ghrelin signaling system. Currently she is also coordinator of DIABESITY, an EU financed project for obesity and type 2 diabetes research, involving 27 European Partners.

Born: 1964 Thesis: On Rationality and Belief Formation in Games Martin Dufwenberg was born in Linköping. He obtained his PhD in 1995 at Uppsala University and has worked in Tilburg, Uppsala, Stockholm, Bonn and most recently at the University of Arizona as Professor of Economics and as Director of the Economic Science Laboratory. In 2005 he was appointed Erik Malmsten Visiting Professor at the University of Gothenburg. He makes use of game theory and experimentation in his research. He also uses psychology to investigate situations in which individuals interact and influence one another, for example in situations of change, marriage and different markets. He has been appointed Visiting Professor of Economics at the Graduate School.

He has both developed and vitalised the field of research into special educational needs. His work has included coordinating the establishment within UNESCO of "Open File on Inclusive Education" in 2001. Since 2009 he has been a visiting professor at the Department of Education, Special Needs Education Unit.
