International Office
The International Office is a unit within the central administration of University of Gothenburg, responsible for its international contacts and supporting the university’s international activities. Furthermore it serves as the university’s main contact point for national and international authorities in questions relating to internationalisation. The ESS, Exchange Student Services are located here. They work with incoming and outgoing exchange students.
The International Office:
- Supports the university management in questions of internationalisation
- Coordinates international cooperation programmes and bilateral agreements
- Publishes guides, reports, newsletters and provides information and advice about internationalisation issues for faculties and departments
- Hosts international visitors and delegations
- Maintains the university’s international contact database iCON with some 2000 entries
- The ESS arranges amongst other things programmes and activities to welcome incoming exchange students. It is also responsible for selection and administration in relation to exchange students.
