Theme day
Visiting researchers, visiting staff and PhD Students are invited to this all-day excursion along the west coast of Sweden to Tjärnö Marine Research Station in Strömstad, situated
about two hours' drive north of Gothenburg.
The Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences is the marine infrastructure organization of the University of Gothenburg. The stations at Kristineberg and Tjärnö are two of Europe's most modern marine research laboratories, offering unique opportunities for carrying out advanced experimental work. Working at these stations are a group of researchers who are active in a large number of marine research areas.
Staff from the Lovén Centre will inform us about the marine studies and take us for a guided walk within the premises. Coffee and lunch is included.
Departure at 8:00 am, from the university building in Vasaparken.
