Basic laboratory skills for working with proteins and antibodies

Course/Education

This course aims to provide graduate students with a basic understanding of the principles in working with proteins and antibodies.

The concepts and methods covered in the course include:


Buffer components
Methods for cell lysis
Stability of proteins /storage
Protein purification
Considerations for maintaining the native state
Use of antibodies in a wide range of applications


Course Dates 1th, 4th and 6st February 2013 (9:00 to 15:00 each day)
