The action takes place in Naples in the late 18th century. Two young men make a bet that their girlfriends would never cheat on them. They decide to do everything in their power to prove they are right - but instead only succeed in proving the opposite.

Così fan tutte is one of Mozart's late, absolutely brilliant productions and was directed by himself at its first performance in Vienna in 1790.
