Concert
Memorial concert for Gösta Ohlin
The verse from Erik Axel Karlfeldt's poem Psalters and lyres sums up the love of song and the human voice to which Gösta Ohlin devoted his long working life. He was one of those who created the modern Swedish choral sound by starting new choirs, searching out material, arranging and teaching indefatigably. He was based at the Music College in Gothenburg for many years.
Choirmasters and choir singers pay tribute to Gösta Ohlin who passed away in the early summer.
Taking part are the Chamber Choir at the Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburg Chamber Choir, the Pro Musica Chamber Choir and the Rilke Ensemble, along with members of Gösta Ohlin's Vocal Ensemble.
