Samtal, Debate
Is there a lack of resources, or do we simply not see the resources patients have themselves? GPCC hosts a debate on this topic during the Almedalen week 2012. (The Almedalen week is a week of political and social debate and networking on the Island of Gotland which takes place the first week of July every year.)
We are facing a scenario that today's health care system cannot handle using the current management of resources. Person-centred care offers a solution that doesn't only free up health care staff and hospital beds, but also increases quality of care and the satisfaction of the patients. Person-centred care has been scientifically evaluated, both within orthopedic medicine and internal medicine, and has proven to be a most efficient method of care, as it tailors care to each individual patient, and is cost effective.
