Claes G. Alvstam

Claes Alvstam, professor of international economic geography, serves as advisor to the Vice-Chancellor in matters related to the University’s internationalisation work.

Claes Alvstam is the chairman of the interfaculty Internationalisation Council at the University of Gothenburg, where, in addition to the faculties, the University library and the students are also represented. The purpose of the Internationalisation Council is to assist the Vice-Chancellor in policy and strategy matters and to lead and coordinate the University’s internationalisation efforts, which are guided by the action plan for the University-wide internationalisation work 2008-2012, settled by the Vice-Chancellor in 2008.
