Equal value and equal opportunities - organisation structure

The Equal Treatment Committee is commissioned to coordinate equal value and equal treatment activities within the university and to aid Vice-Chancellor and Board in issues concerning equality. Chairman of the Committee is the Vice-Chancellor’s advisor in issues concerning equality, gender equality, and equal treatment. The Secretary of the Committee is the Secretary for Equality Issues at the University of Gothenburg. All Faculty Boards (or equivalent) appoints one of its members as a member in the Equal Treatment Committee.

All departments, academic and administrative, appoints one member of the department board as a representative for Equality Issues. The Student Unions appoints four representatives to the Equal Treatment Committee. All members and representatives are given the opportunity to participate in equal treatment training activities.
