About the website

The University’s website

The University’s website, www.gu.se, was first launched in 1995. In autumn 2003 a website survey was carried out in order to acquire more knowledge about the expectations of the website users. A new website was launched in November 2005. In the long term we are working to enable the entire University to be adapted to the new appearance and structure.

Simpler to find information

Reasons for making the change included making it simpler for our different target groups to find information and to provide a clearer and more unified picture of Göteborg University.

A new publishing tool

The new publishing tool that we developed in parallel with the new appearance and structure provides Göteborg University with a greater possibility of raising the overall level of our expertise in working with our web pages. In this context we are thinking of language, manner of address, pictures, structure and accessibility.
